A supporter of artists and writers, welcoming to all, plus she's my confirmation saint so she gets in through the transitive property.


St. Carlo Acutis


Italy, 1991-2006

Web designer and lover of the Eucharist. Most well known for creating a website cataloguing all the known Eucharistic miracles. Patron saint of gamers and programmers.


St. Isidore of Seville


Spain, ca. 560-636

First Christian to attempt to collect a summary of all human knowledge, and thus patron saint of the internet.


St. Marina the Younger


Turkey, ca. 327-379

Proto-monastic consecrated virgin, patron saint of robotics, philosophy, and tech ethics.


Our Lady, Star of the Sea


Judea, ca. 18 BC - >33 AD

Possibly originating from a scribal error, has becoming the guiding Marian title for travelers. And there's "star" in the name.


St. Leibowitz


(fictional) United States ca. mid-21st century

Founder of a monastery that preserved knowledge through a second dark ages following a nuclear apocalypse, martyred by anti-intellectual mob.


St. Vidicon of Cathode


(fictional) US and Italy, ca. 1970 to 2020

Martyred to broadcast an important papal message that led to the conversion of thousands. Patron saint against Murphy's law, the imp of the perverse, and Finagle. Despite being fictional, has taken on a bit of a sincere following among techies!


St. Nikola Tesla


(not canon...yet) Croatia and US, 1856-1943

Genius in the field of electricity and others. Son of a Serbian Orthodox priest, though of unknown faith himself.


St. Mary Kenneth Keller


(not canon...yet) United States, 1913-1985

Pioneer in computer science and women's education. Religious sister of Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.


St. Gene Wolfe


(not canon...yet) United States, 1931-2019

Prolific science fiction author who seamlessly wove his Catholic faith into his work.
